Hello, I'm Mark

I'm a former primary school teacher, and I've spent decades working with children. Through all of it, one thing never changed: my love of children's literature. There's something special about a story read aloud, when a busy room goes quiet and little faces lean in to hear what happens next.

Moss and Moon is my way of sharing that at bedtime. Each week I write a gentle story with one small lesson, like being brave, saying sorry, or taking one little step at a time, and read it to your little ones in my own voice. The stories slow down as they go, so they finish calm and ready for sleep.

I write, imagine and read every story myself. The watercolour pictures are brought to life with AI tools, guided by my ideas for every scene, and I check every picture so the woods always feel calm and safe.
